Apparently Uncle Rico can’t throw over the mountains anymore.
When it comes to Fitzmagic and the dolphins, he’s been known to do this. Play like absolute garbage and then out of no where he wins. He did it last year, he did it the year before and the year before that. And he’ll probably continue to do it.
When it comes to Uncle Rico and the Jaguars, who the hell knows. He may have great facial hair but he can’t throw a football. As much as I want to like the guy I just don’t see the “IT” factor. He’s gonna warm the bench for the rest of his career here soon, and I’m not talking McCown caliber, I’m talking Charlie Batch bench warming for Pittsburgh. Didn’t play a game but he got a check, okay he played a couple games. Whatever.
Anyway to the game, Fitzpatrick came out from the beginning hot. Gardner Minshew not so much. The Dolphins coming in at 0-2 and the Jags coming in at 1-1, I think we all expected a different outcome. But here we are having to say that the Dolphins beat the Jaguars. 31-13. The Dolphins won a game 31-13, trust me I can’t believe it either.
Listen even if Tua is gonna take over this team, Fitzmagic is gonna build the confidence for this team. After watching the Dolphins beat the Jaguars this bad, how could they not follow this guy? He’s been all over the league, different aspects of the league. All he does is perform under pressure.
Minshew I think is a groomable quarterback, but he’s not a starter yet. If he is ever a reliable starter I’ll be surprised. He needs a lot of work even more than just the Uncle Rico hype, because obviously that is not working. Anyway according to his record he won 1 game and lost another, but if you can’t even beat the Dolphins who are you going to beat? Well you can probably beat the Lions, but they are minor league.
At the end of the day, Minshew isn’t Uncle Rico, and the beard is the f***kin beard. Put Fitzmagic in the bottom of the barrel and he’s gonna pull it off, otherwise, leave him on the bench, next to Minshew. Minshew, a wannabe McCown…
The Dolphins are working their way back the right way and Flores looks to have them going the right way. They may be a bit sporadic right now but next year they should start to look like a team again!!
