If the Detroit Lions get any worse, We’re going to have to start a minor league for football.
Every year Lions fans come into the season with such high hopes, “This year is the year.” That statement rings through Michigan every fall as football comes to a start. As the first 2 weeks are coming to a close, I can already hear the faint chant of “Sell the team!” in the far distance.
Just like the typical Lions we are all used to seeing, Week 2 showed us they still can’t play all four quarters. This is the fourth game in a row that they have lost after having a double digit lead. Last time I checked Patricia was supposed to be a defensive coach, so why is the defense so terrible? Once the third and fourth quarters come around it’s like there’s no more gas, no energy, it’s like they are not even trying.
Now on to the offense, Stafford. Potential Hall of Fame quarterback. No doubt in my mind. But is it time to move on? Maybe, Maybe not. The offense looks good, they just are not making the right adjustments and using those big names out there. Peterson is a presence on the field, you can come out on the field tell the defense you are going to throw and they are still going to watch Peterson like he’s going to run. Use that Hall of Fame presence to your advantage as much as you can.
So we have a defense giving away points, but still may have potential. We have an offense that has Hall of Fame players on it with incredible rookie players. So where is the problem? If you ask me sounds like a management problem to me. Everybody knows what it’s like working for a bad boss or terrible management. No matter how good you may be at the job, you still don’t want to put in 100% because you’re not being appreciated or treated right. That is exactly what I believe we are seeing on the field with the Lions.
In conclusion, It’s time for the Fords to go. Please for the love of God “Sell the team!” It is the only thing that hasn’t changed this whole time, It’s the only thing left to try and change. So for the sanity of Michigan, for all of Detroit, for the Lions fans around the world. Please “Sell the team!”
